Information Systems Technician

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Information Systems Technician in the Minneapolis, MN area to provide enterprise-level assistance to our SMB clients. You will diagnose and troubleshoot desktop and server software and hardware problems and help our customers install applications and programs. Technical Support Engineer responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support. You will use email and chat applications to give clients quick answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, you will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions. To be qualified for this role, you should have a demonstrable background in IT support. Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification is a plus. If you're naturally a helper, enjoy assisting people with computer issues and can explain technical details simply, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will be a person our customers trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.

Responsibilities

-Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues

-Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration

-Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem

-Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits

-Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they've solved a technical issue

-Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)

-Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers

-Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions

-Ensure all issues are properly logged

-Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time

-Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting

-Prepare accurate and timely reports

-Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals

-Maintain jovial relationships with clients

REQUIREMENTS

-Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role

-Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments

-Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products

-Good understanding of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Office 365

-Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues

-Familiarity with business class networks and firewalls

-Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software

-Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

-Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal

-Certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus

Position Summary:

Our Client  seeks a qualified Security Analyst II who will provide complex support of Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) support of the Hill Air Force Base (AFB) Enterprise Data Center (HEDC) project located at Hill AFB, Utah. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Support the RMF program for this location in compliance with current DoD industry regulations
•    Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program
•    Perform infrastructure and application penetration tests, as well as physical security review and social engineering tests 
•    Performs risk analysis and security audit services, developing analytical reports as required
•    Emulates adversarial cyber activities to identify weaknesses, enumerate vulnerabilities, and assess the overall security posture of customer networks and information systems

The Contractor shall be responsible for work requirements and all work in progress at the start of the performance period. 

•    The Contractor shall be responsible for work requirements in support of emergencies and contingencies in time of crisis outside normal duty hours. All contractor project management personnel shall utilize Hill CEDC GPM approved Agile Project Management methodologies. 

•    The Contractor Program Manager (CPM) provides oversight in the management of all Quality Assurance activities related to the performance of this Task Order, to include compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.246-6 Inspection of Time and Material and Labor Hour (b) The Contractor shall provide and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government covering the material, fabricating methods, work and services under this task order.  Complete records of all inspection work performed by the Contractor shall be maintained and made available to the Government during contract performance and for as long afterwards as the contract requires. 

•    The contractor shall provide a Project Management Plan (PMP), to include a Contract work breakout structure (CWBS).

•    The contractor shall provide an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

•    The contractor shall support the Business Office with the creation, maintenance and sustainment of annual budgets and spend plans related to the Hill CEDC Program, and its hosted customer programs/systems for projected services to be rendered in the performance of this SOW and all commodities in support of the Hill CEDC and its hosted systems.

 •    The contractor shall propose requirements to the Hill CEDC Program Leads for consideration and incorporation into finalized budgets, spend plans and Data Center Optimization Requirements (DCOR) as necessary to execute a 50M+ Program of Programs. 

•    The contractor shall support a limited Service Desk for the Hill CEDC and its customer programs.  The Service Desk shall triage incident and work order tickets for classification and priority

•    The CPM shall provide oversight to all core IT professional support services for the Hill CEDC’s Configuration and Document Management (CM/DM) 

•    Additionally, the CPM supports the Business Office professional IT related services for HW/SW/MX and services projections for all “enterprise and hosted IS” in onboarding, infrastructure, sustainment and cybersecurity requirements.   

•    The Contractor shall ensure the preparation of the Contracting Officer’s Management Report and Monthly Summary Reports.

JOB FUNCTION: Managing the Production Control Department to provide the necessary support and guidance needed to meet internal and external delivery requirements and streamline the planning processes involved with making products.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: A. Duties

1. Monitors, tracks, reports, advises, and conducts production planning processes in order to ensure the organization meets customer delivery requirements and expectations.

2. Leads schedule communication process via regular meetings or systematic data with the goal to keep the organization marching to one drumbeat

3. Maintains and continuously improves MRP system or other Capacity Planning system parameters and processes for effective use of system planning and scheduling capabilities

4. Proactively pursues the elimination of shortages that impact or may impact production and shipments.

5. Proactively provides schedule and release direction for manufacturing orders within the facility. Coordinate as required the scheduling of orders with sales, manufacturing, engineering, R&D, and other areas.

6. Assist Manufacturing and Purchasing in determining appropriate safety stock levels, minimum or maximum inventory settings, Kanban signals, or other visual methods to trigger timely inventory consumption or replenishment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education / Experience

1. Two-year degree is mandatory. Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, or Technical) is highly preferred.

2. Experience as a manager of production control or scheduling process

3. Experience working in a key role in a business focused on metal fabrication, welding, or metal forming

4. APICS certification preferred
