Job description

Direct Hire $90-125k

hybrid schedule with being in office 3 days a week and 2 days remote.

Requirements:

3-5 years’ experience

Manufacturing Experience

Must have experience in budgeting.

Must know how to read construction plans

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of our projects. You will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders within the project life cycle on a global scale.

Specifically, your job duties will include:

Project Management

  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Minimize our exposure and risk on projects
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Project Accounting

  • Manage project budget
  • Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Follow up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization

Financial Management

  • Understand our pricing model and billing procedures
  • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization
  • Assure project legal documents are completed and signed

Business Development

  • Assist application engineers in the sales department.

Communication

  • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
  • Hold regular status meetings with project team
  • Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
  • Provide detail performing schedule and key financial metrics.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Technical Understanding

  • Possess general understanding in the areas of equipment manufacturing and fabrication.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements

We are ideally seeking a candidate with the following qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in project management
  • Knowledge of the water treatment practices preferred.
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills.
  • Understanding of scope, schedule, planning, time management, resource management, and cost management
  • Able to operate on a global basis with demonstrated ability to understand global issues.
  • Self-driven, strong project management skills, excellent business writing skills, and strong teamwork skills
  • PMP Certification (not required)
  • Able to analyze problems and recommend and negotiate solutions.
  • Strong leadership and client management skills
  • Periodic domestic and international travel required.

Job Description:

Support customers and sales staff through application assistance, design/specification review, pricing, quote generation, and bid proposals.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Serve as a technical resource to customers and sales staff regarding company products, answer questions verbally and in written form about our equipment, analyze data related to an application, size and select equipment
  • Review of designs and specifications to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Prepare proposals and bid documentation packages
  • Management of the inside sales order process into manufacturing
  • Submittal preparation
  • Management and tracking of proposal requests/sales orders status
  • Parts Sales

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 1 or 2 years of experience in Applications Engineering and/or Technical Sales is preferable but not required
  • Ability to coordinate with Product Engineering and Sales Department to resolve customer issues
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to train and transfer knowledge to others and perform product demonstrations
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong customer service and technical skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to help facilitate MS Dynamics transition

This position is a professional engineering job with responsibilities in the area of product development and sales and manufacturing support. Entry Level to 3 years experience.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

With general guidance from engineering management, supports both new and existing product design and development with engineering expertise. Also works on designs to improve components and products and to develop concepts for new products that achieve the desired quality at the most favorable cost. Provides technical support to sales and manufacturing. Plans, designs, and develops the more routine products or components. Participates in planning and in the preparation of specifications.

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Designs new products.

Visits customer locations at project initiation to develop an understanding of the customer's needs.

Under the guidance of engineering management, directs the modeling/drafting of concepts into designs that can be modeled and tested.

Tests materials and concepts, working closely with the Test and Research staff to design tests and document results.

Supports the on-going improvement of existing product designs.

Develops test designs to measure the function and quality of products and to test new ideas or modifications of existing products.

Hand-on mechanical aptitude

o Ideally candidates that grew up working with their hands, solving problems, showing interest in mechanical devices, assembling things, etc.

' History of successful multi-disciplinary collaboration

' Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

' Solidworks, GD&T, Microsoft office, business system, ISO documentation background
