Technical Sales Representative
This position serves a key role in: sales qualification, lead generation, quote generation, direct communication with customers and vendors, and project scheduling.
Responsibilities
Qualify new web, phone, trade show and other leads and inquiries (no cold calling necessary), determine prospect requirements, and conduct intake qualification
Act as a single point of contact for customers.
Articulate technical features and benefits of our products to our customers.
Effectively offer product alternatives to best meet customer requirements.
Follow up on quotations and proposals consistently.
Work as a member of a collaborative sales team to support sales efforts of others.
Support sales email workload and respond as needed on support role tasks: project timeline management, customer service response, etc.
Maintain technical knowledge of company products, competitive advantages and industry.
Seek continuous improvement in sales, technical skills and industry knowledge.
Accurately process customer data such as price quotes and purchase orders.
Interface effectively with vendors on quotes, specs, etc.
Requirements
Possess high energy, ethical values, honesty, and integrity
Excellent attention to detail with both written and verbal skills
A minimum of 2-4 years experience in a technical sales, account management, or sales support
Ability to work independently and coordinate well with team members
Exceptional customer service practices, professional presence and business acumen
High degree of technical and mechanical aptitude
Quickly embrace, learn and apply new technology and procedures
Ability to manage time well and handle multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude and composure
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Previous experience in an industrial, technical, or manufacturing environment
Background in chemistry and/or machine design a plus
Medical and aerospace industry knowledge desired
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to interact effectively with prospects and customers via phone and email
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace Products
CRM proficiency, preferably Hubspot CRM
Challenge oneself into learning something new
Willingness to exhibit initiative in daily work
