Manufacturing Engineer
Summary
Updating existing Work Instructions to reflect actual production processes
Documenting fixtures and tooling used to manufacture parts in a readable format including pictures
Recommending process improvements to increase throughput
Updating/creating CAD drawings for fixtures/tooling
Maintains shop routings for manufacture and assembly of parts within Oracle. Develops and maintains work instructions and other documentation for production processes. Processes PCR’s (Process Change Requests) to maintain accurate data within system
Processes routine NAR’s (Number Assignment Requests) and ECO’s (Engineering Change Notices).
Qualifications:
• Two year certificate in manufacturing or engineering technology – OR – a minimum of five years of manufacturing experience in an assembly or machining environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of routings, bills of material and shop floor documentation
• Demonstrated knowledge of time study techniques
• Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal / written) effectively with customers, suppliers and employees
• Demonstrated knowledge of scientific problem solving tools (DOE, TQ, SPC, etc.) desirable
