Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Job # 6777)
Job Description: Responsibilities Will be mainly in the office and handling electrical engineering duties, including: review of customer specs, development of bills of materials, design (panel layouts, sizing/specifying components, etc.), drawings (AutoCad experience preferred), prices from suppliers, preparation of customer submittal documents (drawings, calculations, material cut sheets, control narrative, process description, etc.), supporting programmers, electrical production staff, field service personnel and clients. Occasional travel may be involved, but should have plenty of advance notice. Design and integrate industrial power distribution systems from 480VAC power down to secondary voltages. • Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems including PLC controls, motor controls, and general machine design controls. • Prepare and compile necessary calculations and bills of materials to support product designs. • Prepare product or system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics (ladder format). • Determine feasibility of modifying existing or designing new equipment considering costs, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors. Troubleshoot and electrical issues with PLC’s/HMI’s/VFD’s, pump motors, controls, instruments, etc. • Work with contractors, customers, engineers and operators Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program • Entry Level acceptable with pertaining internship(s) • Knowledge of 2D solid modeling software, particularly AutoCad. • Good oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Work quickly and efficiently • Above average verbal communication skills • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.) • Solid knowledge of PLC’s/HMI’s/VFD’s and programming software (Rockwell, Modicon, Siemens) • A strong mechanical and electrical aptitude • Able to read & comprehend technical drawings (PFD’s, P&ID’s, Ladder, General Arrangements, etc.)
